automated fish traps - do they count towards fishbowl helmets?

Am I wasting my time with automated fish traps or do the fish caught/released/sold from them count for the new helmets? Thanks!

As far as I know, it does not count.

They don't count for your Personal Wonders records, so it's pretty safe to assume they wont count towards the achievements/cosmetics.
