Thoughts on Multiplayer Experience?
I'd like to know your thoughts on NMS's multiplayer experience. Do you find it lacking in any areas? I personally find the co-op aspect extremely lonely and distant because you're always sent in completely different directions than your friends. Of course, the game is centered on the thrill of exploration, but it can get rather boring.

Here me out; what if you were able to start a new game with a small group of friends. Everyone's quest progress is synchronized to where if you interact with something, everyone will get credit for it. Imagine if this game wouldn't send everyone off in different directions and you had the opportunity to complete these fairly long quest-lines with friends.

Just my thoughts on the matter. I'd love to hear everyone else's views on this. Perhaps I'm looking at things the wrong way. Have fun!

It's not really a multiplayer game. MP is a tack-on.
Only Nexus missions have been designed with co-op in mind, Everything else (specifically the story missions) is single player with no co-op elements whatsoever. Even the "Community Expeditions" are a solo experience with some of them having "cumulative player contributions" that you really have no control over.
The multiplayer exists. That's about it.
It's cool to know that you can run into other players and do missions with them, see their bases etc but the game still isn't really built for that and it's very janky.

I saw the person I was playing with. We multi-played. It was meh as far as multiplayer goes.
