To get an S class Dreadnaught
I've been reloading saves to try to get an S class Dreadnought but I'm wondering if I need more unites. I saw some YouTube video that I need to get 200mil units but I'm wondering if that's still true.

Pirate dreadnoughts are always free when you defeat them in battle.

The system is more important in spawning an 'S' class, however. There is a 5% chance in outlaw systems, a 2% chance in T3 wealthy systems, & a 1% chance in T2 systems. They will not spawn in poor T1 systems.

Just jump until you get a space battle between dread and civil fleet, neutralize dread and you got it for free. Rince and repeat until S class spawn.

And you don't need to reload. About 1 in 5 pirate systems will always spawn a battle when you warp in.

I have been neutralizing the dreadnought I've found but was just worried I was wasting my time since I only have about 33mil units currently.

it's not like the cargo ones, u don't need to buy them, if u neutralize it, u can keep it for free.

The 200 is intended to cover the cost of anything that is not a dreadnought. You defeat a bunch of buccaneers in battle, you get to keep the ship they rode in on.

You're shaking down the town bully for their lunch money. You're a privateer.

They got the info from DooTube. It's equally as likely that it's an idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Thanks for all the answers all. I wasn't planning on purchasing the dreadnought. I just thought the amount of current units affected spawn rates of the class of the dreadnought. I'll continue the grind. o7
