Aside from that, you can go around planets and nab whatever materials are in "Buried Cache" that you can spot through your visor. They're little boxes just under the ground. But Cadmium, Emeril and Indium are some of the materials in the pool of stuff that can be found in Buried Cache. I've often been able to build a Cadmium Drive, Emeril Drive, and Indium Drive without even leaving the first planet in a normal playthrough of NMS, but the Atlantid Drive is relatively new as is this expedition, so I didn't think to check if Buried Cache were prominent on say, the Gas Giant we start the expedition on.
Far as I recall, not every single Outlaw station sells same things on the black market (e.g. not all NPC will have counterfeit circuits). Forgot if repair kits are one of the random ones or guaranteed, but either way, visiting couple Outlaw systems should get repair kits very easily.
I started the expedition on an existing part and if it's necessary, I can get my ship back and have access to the blue systems. So, that's no problem for me.
You can also get indium buying a cheap ship that has any tech installed that gives indium as part of deconstructing it.
e.g. look at compare ships view, and if they have indium hyperdrive, it should deconstruct to decent amount of indium.
I suggest using a Repair Kit to take its place. No matter what material or amount is needed, a single Repair Kit can replace 100% of it.
Repair KIts are available in all systems, commonly purchasable, uncommonly found as loot from certain containers, and often given out as Mission rewards from the Mission Broker on space stations.
To use a Repair Kit, hover your cursor over the material you don't have or don't want to use for repairs, then press the hotkey shown on the floating info box specifically for using a Repair Kit instead of the material.
