Mods are not working
I have tried to get some mods to work in NMS but they don't seem to be loading. I have done the things that are required like making the MODS folder where required and placing all the mod files in there, I have looked for that Disablemods.txt file but I cannot find it. Could they have done something else in the latest release to disable modding?

How to mod the game changed completely after Worlds2.

Nowadays they are put in a different folder than before.
(No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\)

And the old Pak files can't be used at all, because there are some other types of files that are used for modding now..

Disablemods.txt can be removed, because that file is ignored by the game now.
The modding is now controlled by the file GCMODSETTINGS.MXML

I can't get any mods to work, I have the correct path as stated above, when I load the game I get the mod alert but nothing works, I never had any problems with the old mod system.
I'm using:
gBase Scaling Max
gCreature Underground Fix
gWeather Storm Frequency Fewer
CodenameAwesome-No Pulse Drive Lines

Mod warning doesn't mean you have mods installed correctly. There's a bug where having a PCBANKS\MODS folder triggers a mod warning, even though that's the wrong place for mods now. Follow the Troubleshooting section in the link I posted above.

well as I stated, I have them in No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\mod folder, all I did
was download the zips and extract them to that folder eg:
F:\games\Steam\SteamApps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\gBase Scaling Max

also tried deleting GCMODSETTINGS.MXML

I've read the doc, could it be that I don't have nms installed on the c:/ drive, I can't think of any other reason

Drive letter doesn't matter. I would need to see a screenshot of the folder structure probably. The only other complication is if you are on experimental, it's going to break a lot of mods.

ahh, I'm in experimental, then again I always have been, I'll try switching and let you know

Yeah experimental has been changing modding a lot the past week. A lot of mods will need to be remade at least a little bit, though it should make EXML mods even better.

darn it, didn't work, I've always used your building mod and never had any problems

The most part of Mods are broken in experimental...
However the problem is also modders often don't upload updated LUA files :steamfacepalm:
...but I think even that many mods seem to work and instead are "instable", as the game in certain moments didn't active them (?)
