There is a video with starwars ships replicated in starfield that has hundreds thousands of views and they look literally disgusting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZfI5arOLS0&t=1285s&ab_channel=SwanyPlaysGames
Oh well I just realized that all the starships in starfield look like oversized NMS shuttles
So if they add something in NMS, please just be the current starship parts or some cool little things like decals
I think they haven't done ship customization because they can't or they decided ship hunting and coordinate sharing is a core game mechanic. Probably the latter it seems Sean Murray really likes the coordinates share communities.
There are ways to introduce customization and keep ship hunting relevant, like only being able to scrap parts and use them once so you still have to hunt stuff every time you want to make a new ship
This is exactly what I hope to see one day. Ship customisation. Frigate customisation. Freighter. Vast game like NMS needs more customisation options. Oh, yeah, and paints for minotaur.
I think that would be ideal. But for what ever reason HGs doesn't and theirs are the only opinions that matter.
