Crafting out of storage container?

Hello everyone!
I couldn't find anything in Google so I want to ask you.
Is there any mod or something that can make it possible to craft out of the storage container without taking everything I need out?

Without mods, you need a freighter. On the freighter, you don't need to directly access your storage once you build a duplicate storage on the freighter. You can also install the matter beam on the freighter. This allows you to access the freighter while on any planet within the same system of your planet. I have heard on this forum that it allows you to access contents in your duplicated freighter storage without directly interacting with it.

When crafting there is an option to view the build tree, a diagram that shows all the materials used to make the product, and also the materials to make THOSE materials. A tree type diagram showing exactly how to make it. And I believe that you CAN craft directly from this and if you have all these materials, even if they are in different containers, the process will be done.

With your inventory open, click on an empty cell and you get the Crafting Menu. Scroll through the items til you find what you want, do not click it yet! Notice that at the bottom of that data window it says "E" View Craft Steps. This will open the tree assembly instructions for the item your crafting. This diagram is interactive, if you left click the highlighted section will be crafted and it moves to the next section, several left clicks will craft the product in steps, showing the process. Of course you can right click anytime to exit this diagram and abort the crafting process.

The matter beam with your freighter in system is the best QOL feature in the game. You can put or pull from any inventory (maybe not exocraft- but you could move that to suit) no matter where you are in the system.

The "hand" function is really useful since you can pick up a specific amount of something from any inventory and transfer to or from any inventory. You can also craft as long as you have the mats in one of the available inventories. Unforunately, it still does not clean the windows for you- but still a pretty nice labor saving device.

I don't get it.
I know how to open that tree but how to craft...?
I tried many things and there is no way to craft out of storage container.

Looking for this also. So I can be standing by my starship and use mats out of it's storage but if I am in my base i can't use the mats in my storage containers? That's kind of dumb.

you can if you either have the storage containers in your base close to your character and/or if you have them on your freighter with the matter beam installed.
