Do mods disable multiplayer?
Do mods work in multiplayer? Are there any restrictions on it? If they work, how does it affect other players?

Main thing to keep in mind with mods and multiplayer is that all of you playing together will need to have the same mods installed to see what the other person is seeing/doing if yoy've installed anything to do with things like expanding base building objects, changing terrain, adding new ships, etc.
You can play together all day long and it won't matter - but you won't be experiencing the same world without everyone loading up the same mods.
I have a couple I always use. I highly recommend playing around with mods in this game. It's incredible!

No, you can use mods whenever and wherever you want. This isn't a competitive PvP game. There are no ranks, there is no cheating. It's a sandbox that you can do whatever you want in, and whatever you do affects no one else's game in any real way. So mod away. Or not. Your choice.

The only mods you need to be somewhat aware of are ones that change the terrain, the terrain will not be synced if the other player does not have the same mod/s that change it. At worst you'll have bases that appear to be floating or sunken into the ground for other players.

There are one or two base building mods that don't need others to have it installed. There are other mods that do require everyone visiting the base to have them installed.

A simple way to test this IME is to install mod, make base changes, save and quit. Then disable mods and reload. If you can still see the changes, you are more than likely good. If otherwise not MP friendly.
