EDIT: You can also just use the save editor to fix up that ship, if you don't mind using it.
Let's just say, I never realized you also need to repair the pulse engines to be allowed to take off. Good thing that stuff is all craftable. Let's just say, I got a couple of distance milestones that day.
Also if you recently visited the Anomaly and it is in system you can recall back without flying.
In a newly started game, it is always possible to summon your ships with the X menu (even if they are defective or lack fuel).
So call you your regular ship now.
Refuel your ship, and fly out into space, you can leave the crashed ship there, and you do not have to fix it ..
Call the Anomaly, and when you land there, change your ship to the crashed one with the X menu.
Go to the teleport upstairs, and from there teleport to a space station, scrap the crashed ship, and you will also then notice that it has been magically repaired on the way there.
Lol....no, no...here is wot you do...don't leave your ship without launch fuel.
but as in the OP's case, if you've done that AND claimed a crashed ship AND have no other assets (ships/exocrafts)...THEN instead of walking...plop down a temp base computer and teleporter
