Quickest way to attract sentinnel walkers?
I have gotten a few to spawn but usually they don't. I defeat the waves of sentinals. A quad or 2 shows up. Then the thing that looks just like the minotaur mech shows up. Then I see a message "warning, walker detected", then another mech thing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

You have to completely defeat each structured "wave" of sentinels. Before they made sentinel attacks more complex in the recent update, it was fairly easy to understand which units made up each wave. Once you complete two or three waves, the walker wave comes in and will repeat forever and ever until you tire of killing walkers. It's the same as before, there are just more sentinel types associated with each wave.

Following your approach, the Walkers have never failed to appear for me. The walker shows up when the security alert reaches five pips. Do you have a screenshot of the "other mech" thing?

well my last attempt was in a planet with "unwavering" sentinels. The type of planet with gravtino balls everywhere. My more successful attempt was at a manufacturing facility on a "normal" planet. What is your go to?

These were added in the Sentinel update.

My experience is that if you don't finish a wave completely before a unmarked timer runs out, it just reverts to the prior wave and you start all over again. So, you can't really dawdle or you just end up in endless combat and you never finish all the waves.

Having the AI Mech fully upgraded was the only way I found I could get past the various waves in a timely manner. Those stupid repair bots really increase the challenge. I focused on them and let the Mech do most of the heavy lifting on the other combatants.

Not sure if my experience rings true, but it is what seems to be going on. The other change (if I remember right) is now you have to grab the walker brain from the carcass. You just don't shoot that part and reveal it like before. With all the crap that ends up littering the landscape and bomb holes, it was not particularly obvious to me what I needed to do the first time.

Yeah I've seen them. I'm curious if the OP's other mech looks like this.

I found it impossible using the boltcaster, it's too slow vs the wave timer. U need to somehow get more slots in yr multi tool to install all the various weapons cos u need them.
The other thing u need is to be on the right kind of planet. Needs to have 'ever present" or similar sentinels otherwise they're pretty chilled out (which is great for normal play but not sentinel bashing).
I have certain planets I got to for that. U can also build sentinel traps.

I never had a problem finishing waves with a boltcaster. With the new structured waves you need to first attack the (1) healer sentinels and the (2) control sentinels first. Otherwise you will spend more time than is necessary with each wave.

I gave up on the Boltcaster long ago... I Favor the Scatter Blaster with 3 S Up=Grades, and 3 of the Sentinel Up-Grades with 2 or 3 Damage, and some - Reload Tweaks.. I can take out the New Mech with 2 or three shots, a Quad in 2, and a Walker in about 8 Total. (One for each Leg Segment, and 3 to 4 for the Head.)

I think I did the same thing. They really changed up the weapon stats with one of the recent updates. They used to be pretty comparable so it was just a style preferenc but now the Scatter Blaster seems to rule the roost.
