how can you know wich way is north/south/weat/east?

I need to find fauna located in south but how am i suppose to know wich way is south i dont see compas in the game?

There is a compass in the game, it is displayed at the top of the screen, when you are on a planet, but only N (north) and S (south) are displayed.

And if you look at your Discovery page about the planet, it shows where you are on the planet, where then north is up and south down in that picture.

I am aware of at least three ways to know if you are headed in the right direction
1. There is an X Y coordinate in your ship. If I recall correctly, if you see -Y, then you are in the southern hemisphere
2. You can see it in the globe. There is an indicator pointer that points to where you are on the planet
3. Someone has mentioned that there is a compass.
