The couple I have seen are in Euclid.
"Gen X Gamer" has one that is in New Dehur System, and available in the Space Station.

(This one does say Ebyeloof Galaxy.
I'm in Euclid, but I'm at the end of the storyline. I was worried about finishing it though, because years ago I jumped Galaxies and I wasn't allowed to return to my old bases. I guess they changed that?
It's more of a pistol, than a rifle. I have one of those (and I keep finding them). I was looking for a longer design, with more interesting colors.
I had to uninstall some mods in order to make the rifle appear properly and restart the game a lot, but as an added bonus, on my way to the planet, the exact S-Class Freighter I wanted and had been saving for, suddenly spawned in space. So, I got to kill 2 birds with one long thrown stone~
Exploration is the overall basis of the Game, so you just enjoyed 4+ Hours of that very basic part. Enjoy the Game.
I never used Mods. I have heard they mess up many things, and Too Often do not keep up with Game Up-Dates.
Wish this game had more substance, rather than just fulfilling some minor personal goals. That said, after playing 100 hours of Elite Dangerous, this game is significantly more satisfying. Maybe I'll find a Galaxy I like, fully explore it, and carefully re-name each of the planets.
Updates don't seem to happen enough to matter, and the NMS modding community is super active. There's a whole discord, filled with mod makers from The Nexus (basically the website version of Workshop, if your not familiar), and they are eager to help people.
That said, I originally 100%'ed the vanilla game years ago. Normally, I play a new game for a dozen or so hours, enough to get the hang of what the game is and where it's weaknesses are, and then mod the heck out of it adjust to my tastes accordingly. Although, I was completely unaware of NMS' modding scene the first time around (around 100 hours), because I incorrectly assumed this was a Multiplayer game, when it's really more of a Single Player Sandbox with optional Co-Op.
That said, the game itself is "client-side" instead of "server-side" (which is how I originally view the game). This means you can pretty much edit everything in the game and it will only directly affect you, not the servers (you won't get banned either). Also, unlike other games, removing the mods doesn't seem to cause any lasting damage to your saves (so far, but why would you even remove the ones you like).
The game is significantly better with mods. NMS is a lot of things, but some of the ship are rarer than they have any right to be (I think after my 100 hours of vanilla NMS, i still never had an S-Class ship), and nanite/quicksilver farming can be grindy.
If I had to suggest a few ones that completely make the game better, I would say to at least install "Better Planet Generation" (it boasts that it makes EVERY planet unique, and having used the mod for 100 hours, I can CONFIRM this is true; it's an amazing mod). Enjoyable Quicksilver is another good one; it allows you to earn small amounts of Quicksilver just for playing the game (pirates attack you over cargo earns 50, digging for fossils is 25, missions gives 125, and tons of other options). "Faster Analysis" makes scanning when you land on a new planet actually fun, and not a time consuming chore.
There's also a ton of mods that improve the whole space journey immersion. Like there's a mod called "Fractured Mining", that makes planet based minerals crack apart with the mining lazer, and similarly, "Better Asteroid Explosions" makes asteroids break apart.
There's tons of others, but you get the idea. Definitely worth the time investment, if you love the game.
I think it's genius that NMS gives you a crappy pink girl's pistol at the start of the game. It means that most people will spend all their time trying to find something better as I have.
I don't need to look at cheats to find it. I enjoy the hunt and it's always nice to find a system that actually has a decent looking gun. I'll take it even if it's worse as long as it doesn't look like a ball of pink gum!
Because they can't see any difference anyway. Yep.
silly americans dumbing down our language
(joke btw before those without a sense of humur starts posting crap :P )
