go to freighter, split stack 3 ways and kick off the refiner. Alt+tab to play something else. Check back in 40 min. Repeat until everything is gone to nanites (takes multiple re-refines of the same stuff).
if you have more money than sense, you can also do this with platinum, by buying plat, gold, silver, and pugnum in bulk. This is woefully pricey but much faster.
millions is a stretch. But the 50k needed to do a S class upgrade is only a couple of days of this.
so 50k is 50 hours. 2 days is 48 hours.
so that is a little tight. But I used a 4th refiner in my ship (3 mediums and one large) and my backpack refiner all going at once, which cut the time down.
the plat/pug refine faster, but again, they be pricey, most people asking can't afford enough.
it is more efficient to farm the S class of whatever it is and replace the tech in it than to get 50k nanites no matter how you do it.
Second, find a Space Station in a T3 economy (prosperous, wealthy, affluent, opulent etc)
Third, scrap ships (usually A-Class) and sell the starship upgrades you get from scrapping for nanites. Tip: Fighters can produce 3 to 6 upgrades each.
You can get 5000+ an hour this way.
You need at least 20 million to start scrapping and you will lose some on each ship scrapped.
I would have said 50M min to do it. you can't even buy most of the ships that land for 10?
It is a good method, but S class are rare. This method is very interactive, lots of buy ship, scrap ship, scan ship, sell junk cycles. Sometimes you make money, sometimes you lose it, on each ship. There is probably a guide on minimizing loss there, if you google at it. And there are times when nothing wants to land.
Doing it in a wealthy star system guarantee a high yield, since the module ield depend on the starship seed, finding a starship model that gives a big amount of modules guarantees a stable high yield, but the optimal is to find a space station with a first wave exotic (purchase, scrap, save, reload, wait forr the next).
Then you can also complete space station missions that reward nanites.
Fastest non-legit way is of course the save editor. If you dnt mind completely spoiling the game for yourself....
Second fastest non-legit way is modules duplication glitch with exocraft and the nexus. The most valuable module to do so is the S-rank cold hazard protection.
With this you can secure 19K nanites every 2-3 mintes depending on how methodic you are at abusing that exploit.
