Are there more things that are a waste of time to get, In the current game that you could tell us?
1. Like said above, cool places on planets can be opened. If you RP, you can build a base around these rooms which can be quite nice inside. Even if you don't RP, they're cool to have as part of a greater base.
2. If you're short on randoms like carbon, or condensed carbon, the key-access rooms on the space station can often help you top up your stash.
3. Key-Access Canisters/barrels provide enough antimatter, condensed carbon and housings to keep one from ever needing to actively craft or search, if that's an issue.
YES IT IS WORTH IT !
You only need ONE. It will not be consumed when you use it. Some rooms require the Atlas Pass to open a door, usually worth it to have it on you. But because you only build one pass, then use it ad infinitum, its 100% worth it!
