That's true, but having to click a button every time I open my inventory to get what I went to my inventory for in the first place to show up on the screen isn't any better than having to scroll every time I open it... never mind that I already had to switch to the correct screen to show the inventory section I wanted, because the inventory UI apparently chooses which inventory section it wants to display at random, every time you open it; the only other behavior it displays is stubbornly refusing to show you any screen other than whichever one it arbitrarily decided was the "correct" one, every time you open it, regardless of whether you interacted with that screen at all the last half-dozen times it showed it to you, or if there's even any inventory in that cargo slot to display.
I remain convinced that the UI in this game is actively malicious, and goes out of its way to hamper any efforts at efficient and effective use. I look forward to Light No Fire getting absolutely shredded in the reviews when they try to pull the same crap with a new set of users, who will be comparing it to the beautifully predictable inventory interfaces available in things like World of Warcraft (which also allow you to, for example, open a specific inventory container with a single keypress).
No, it does not; it doesn't even depend on aspect ratio. There are 50 slots visible on the Exosuit inventory screen at 800x600, there are 50 inventory slots at 3840x2160 (ie, 4k), and there are 50 inventory slots visible at every resolution in between.
If you'd like to argue this point, start by showing a screenshot that has a different amount of visible slots.
