They did not make these bonuses proportional to what you had before the update. Instead, they rerolled them. So you might have had a maxed out ship before, but it could've rerolled itself to a lower number on the tables.
Not sayin' you should save edit, but that is *one* way to put your ships back to their old status.
Hyper: 90-120 is the only stat here that caught my eye. Its the only stat I every really paid attention to. The old max for class S explorer was 181. This is a huge reduction.
So no shame about it, used editor to make new stats what I had before.
e.g. easy way was load backup of main save BEFORE it was touched by loading into waypoint 4.0+, this shows former base stats of each ship.
Wrote those down, divided it by the old max ranges and used that proportional percentage to convert all my ships to new ranges. Always used editor before only as way to unbork some game change that screwed my save and ship hunted manual way, but there is no way I am re-hunting all the ships I already found the hard way.
So happily used editor to restore my ships to proportional new base range stats.
Sorry, edited main post to note all base ranges (min/max) are for S-class ships only.
e.g. So for Explorer, S-class - the new base range means for Hyper: 90 is lowest, 120 is max.
I don't know if Explorers can jump as far as before even with these new increased ranges because of the loss of additional 3x3 S-class hyperdrive mods, but at least it makes up for some of the loss of Tech + General inventory mod placement
Oh man, re-rolling existing Ship stats will be brutal. People invested hours to hunt down the perfect stats & looks of their collection. First the removal of 3+3 tech, now reroll ship stats, is HG trying to lure the old players to quit the game?
Wait till the update and supercharged slots hit. People are finding out that the randomness of placement is system/ship type related. So the best looking to you may not be the most effective now. I foresee almost everyone flying the same ship because it has the best stats/slot placement.
Personally I don't care, I'd rather have a better-looking ship, my ships are fine right now even without the superslots :)

That said, I know where they make all my favorite ships. So time for me to go shopping I guess.
There are some part + color combinations that are EXTREMELY rare. I'm on the lookout for my perfect solar & hauler. I love flappy and chonky bois.
