Will NMS Run Better on Steam or on the Xbox PC App?
I know there have been quite a few questions like this in the past, but I'd like to gather some newer feedback. I'm looking to buy NMS when the next sale hits, and I'd preferably like to get it on the Xbox app for PC. I reckon it'll run fine, but are there any major performance, graphics, or other differences that will impact the gameplay, between the two apps? Thanks a lot!

On PC you can use mods much easier, and a greater selection of them.

Thanks, although I’m not planning on using any mods. I’m just trying to find out which game launcher is better to use in terms of performance. I’ve heard that a lot of Steam users struggle with minor lag when playing NMS, and apparently the game pass version on the pc Xbox app runs much smoother.

No problems, I don’t have a console either. I’m talking about the PC Xbox app for windows.

Ah ok thanks a lot! I’ve heard something similar to this, not a big problem though.

PC of course, but it depending on your hardware too. Not every pieces of hardware is good and been seeing alot of people out there buying cheap stuffs.

Ofc it will cost more, but worth it if you got the money for it. Plus might need some pc knowledge to get around it, unless you got money to burn for someone else do it for you.

Dont need a 5k computer tho, right around 1.6 to 2k should be fine, depending on where you get your stuffs at.

Btw i have both PS4 and this PC, PS4 is nice, but usually take longer to load/update than the PC does and limited what you can do, not mention very hard to aim with a wonky controllers than a KB/Mouse.

I already have an amazing PC, and I don’t have a console. My original post was about whether NMS will run better and smoother if I buy it on the XBOX PC WINDOWS APP, or if I buy it through STEAM.

As noted already, there shouldn't be any difference, since either way you still have to download the game onto your PC. NMS doesn't require an online server to run (exception of course being uploading discoveries), so what ever is best for your wallet is likely to be your best choice.

Thanks, that’s why I marked this post as answered, the other guy answered it perfectly for me.
