Giant Bone Worm
Ive just seen a Giant Bone Worm go through my area around my base... is this a rare of some kind?

And does he drop special loot!

It happened on a planet that doesnt even have the normal giant worms.

I've not seen the bone variant, but giant worms cannot be scanned or damaged...
afaik, the only possible interaction is the possibility that they appear directly underneath you and launch you into the air... apart from that, they are just decoration.

Also, there is only ever one variant of the giant worm on a planet, so if that planet has a bone variant, then it wont have any other...

Ive only seen him once... but if he resident to the planet i guess its only a matter of time till i see him again :)

Ah, was wondering why I could never scan it even though it gets a red dot in the scanner, thought it was a distance issue (always seems to spawn ~400u away from me). Thanks for the info.
