Got the schematic for this thing off a frigate expedition, what on earth is this / what does it do?

To use it you must first build it then to use it you need an anomaly detector. Activate the anomaly detector, then activate your pulse drive. After doing so ignore all the other anomalies found until you get a whale song message. Then drop out of pulse and approach the organic frigate and interact with it using the communicator. It may take a while pulsing and you will have to keep your pulse drive fueled using the quick menu as you do not want to stop until you get the whale song. You can get 1 organic frigate per system.

@chipmonk, you do not need an anomaly detector when using a dream aeriel. You 'use' the dream aerial and then pulse, the organic frigate anomaly WILL occur (not any other anomaly type). Once you have found one using it this way, it serves no further purpose and can be deleted (the game even tells you as much).

To find additional organic frigates, you can use anomaly detectors and then just have to get lucky RNG (the method you described) but you don't need the dream aerial at all for that.

Thanks, I didn't realize you could get rid of the dream aerial after the first use.
