So no one can raid you, thankfully!
And what about storage silos for auto-mined stuff? Can other players claim the stuff from them?
Yes, but its contents are still unique to each player, so when you go to claim the materials, it makes no difference to you if someone else did it too.
Oh and before any of that they have to find the power switch to turn on the entire base to unlock the front door and galactic trade terminals, operated by a proximity switch. Then climb down some ladders to the power room, to flip the main 1 million kwh power switch or use the deliberately placed, timed bio-fuel batteries and solar energy that charge a set of batteries, that may lock a player inside until dawn if they don't use enough fuel before the timer runs out or the sun goes down, unless they flip that switch.
Then its a long climb to the top of the entire complex several flights of stairs high, to find the switch that unlocks the maze door entrance back at bottom, beneath the ground. Did I mention the secret ball switch? And the hidden ladder and switch to open a single hidden exit door to the surface that can only be found by entering the base. Once that is finally unlocked, anyone can freely come and plunder the base at any time if they can survive the extreme storms, predators and bounty hunters ...
I really ought to tidy up the skeletons ...
But yeah all the storage containers, first aid and hazard units are free to access your private storage inventories, if you're alive. : D
As an Expedition tip, I regularly use other player's storage containers to store my excess stuff. It works, even if I haven't built a storage container yet. The remote downside is you have to find a base with storage containers if you want your stuff back. (or build your own) I usually have a pretty good idea of what can be stored long term so it works for me.
