Play VR Headset with Keyboard and Mouse

If I fire up NMS in VR, it doesn't work with a keyboard mouse.
If I fire it up with standard, it's no in VR.

Anyone able to figure out how to use the headset sitting down but with a keyboard and mouse as you would normally play the game?

Not sure you can. How would you even find the keys? if memorized them guess you could... I havent hehe

But ya i like vr look of things. but prefer keyboard to hand held wands.

It’s weird you can play with an Xbox controller, but you can’t switch your tool type, and you can’t use warp speed.

So now I’ve got like an Xbox controller with a steam controller by me just for boost, but then no way at all to change my tool around between modes, and no way to fix it.

I can’t be the only person In the world who just wants to use the headset as my monitor.

I would like to actually. Wife keeps saying will charge headset for me before i play.. but its been 3 days and not charged lol To charge needs unplug other things and its a pain I will admit to be fair lol

I wish this could be fixed. I have found no way so far to use anything but the vr controllers or a game pad. I have a Tartarus pro for my left hand,that i use to play most games including NMS.SO finding keys without seeing is easy . but i seem locked to the other controls unable to change them.

Xbox controller is holding R1 and L1 simultaneously to pulse. If I remember correctly, certain combos like that won't let you remap

Yah, its super lame, you used to be able to use mouse/keyboard in VR and then when they added PvP, they removed it.

Please give us the option to use Mouse/Keyboard in VR (at least in Single Player), if it had never been an option, I would have less of an issue.

Thing is, it was an option, and had been for quite some time. I can only guess that it was done to 'even the playing field' for PvP.

That is not any comfort to those of us who don't play MP/PvP.

VR controllers are clunky at the best of times, but in NMS, they are just plain awful.

wish VR had ability to just do the view in vr head movements so forth and then just use my joystick and throttle or my mouse and keyboard.

I know where keys are by feel i never look at keyboard myself you learn that in school when they teach you to type just put your hand on keyboard and type.

I dropped this in New Feature Suggestions because I think the same as you and the OP.
I think it will at least be more visible to HG than General Discussion.
The controls in VR are very cumbersome as they are hacked when going through Steam and there is no option to use K/M.

the dogwater vr controls ruin nms vr for me. I just want to have the VR view while using my keyboard, I'm typing this while wearing a headset even, it's not hard at all
