So, I have a mission that requires GekNip...and I always sell GekNip when I get it, so didn't have any laying around.

Anywho, I googled "Where can I buy GekNip" and the top result was google maps pointing me to the nearby Walmart.....

Edit: BTW, The 2nd+ results were legit, it's not necessary for anyone to reply with an answer. I just wanted to share what I considered the hilarity of my google search result.

Seriously I usually get them from looting. Occasionally I see them on Trading Post (probably Gek system) from ship hunting.

There's a "Dollar Store" a block from where I live, still open, every day. Not quite a 99 cent store, but pretty much the same thing.

You can get it from opening damaged containers, as rewards from frigate missions, as a reward from practicing language skills with a Gek, and traders that you find when you are pulsing often carry it on board for sale.

Edit - at one point early in the game you could craft it from platinum and plutonium but the devs keep changing things. If I'm not mistaken or if it hasn't been changed recently you can put nipnip buds in a refiner with faecium to produce nipnip which can be planted hydroponically and grows plants, that when harvested, produce Geknip.

Just tried that myself. My results were:

1: NMS Wiki
2: Walgreens
3: Walmart supercenter
4: Some beauty supply store.

It can be found in Damaged Containers or as monolith rewards.
It can also be bought from NPCs in Trading Posts.
It is a possible reward from frigate expeditions.
It is also a possible trade from wandering traders you encounter while using the Pulse Engine .
It is a possible reward from Practice Language with Geks


So, if you want to buy it. Some wandering traders you run into in space and at the trading posts can sell you Gek Nip. Good Luck!

Haha, thanks @Kitiana Foxtail, the wiki was actually my 2nd google result.
I ended up buying it from the ships which landed at a Trading Post I visited in a Gek System for a different mission I also had.
