i had to adjust my controller settings so i could aim easier but i still generally use the shotgun when in combat because i just can't aim very well... the scattered shot seems to give me a better FoE and does more damage i guess...
Thank you all for your answers and suggestion.
but i find it annoying i can aim with a pad no problem
i hate that ya trying to shoot a moving target and it just locks aim and ya miss because you cant aim where its goin wish there was an option to turn it off
i dont get this trend of devs thinking players using controllers cant aim
Yah, see, THAT is exactly what I was talking about in my reply above. I knew I saw people who use controllers making that very complaint.
you can turn it off in the Options tab... you can select Off, Toggle, or On IIRC...
and nope no setting for on foot auto aim even looking in the config files had no luck
but i dont get ya post wkitty
you say theres no auto lock for on foot but tell me theres a setting to turn it off?
is it me or you that hasnt had enuff caffeine yet
i can hear my wife shooting stuff on the adjacent planet its that loud sometimes
that was in reference to the auto-lock for ship-to-ship combat which is the only combat-related auto-lock i know of...
I've never had a probelem at all aiming with a controller. There are Recoil upgrades that can be installed and also a combat scanner? The recoil I use a lot with the boltcaster. I never seem to use the combat scanner except occasionally with the Blaze Javelin.
Max out the AOE effecs of things like the Neutron Canon and Grenades there is no need to even be accurate. Just don't get in the way of the Plasma Grenades and use bounce to at least give a an extra second to escape out of any danger zone if needed.
Recoil stabilising upgrades are the most useful and also Fire Rate. Max the fire rate on the Pulse Splitter or neutron Canons and the sentinels and monstrosities don't stand a chance. Neutron Canon is best weapon for monstrosities now with its wide AOE.
The setting of Hot Keys to switch weapons quickly is also now advantageous and using the Voltaic Amplifier with the Paralysis Mortar to destroy sentinels quickly with any weapon.
