Hmm. I remember that sentinels spawn/load like any other scenery. I had a sentinel that spawned in my base in the same room all the time. But now we can destroy the sentry pillars, it can help...until a companion joins you (sync about the sentinel pillar state).
Code to optimize resources ? Not loading entities if not needed ? It seems.
Maybe I'm completely wrong about this and just don't understand your question.
If yes , then pull the plug 🔌
If not... Circle the wagons...
These 🤖🤖👾👾 always showing up out of nowhere 🙄.
Who is in charge of Intelligence Service in NMS Universe ?
Yes, I know about their mother tracker ships.
You can explore without any lag, but the content takes time to generate. Likewise with sentinel patrols.
This leads to them appearing at your feet when you stop doing "sprint-melee-jetpack" for example.
Measuring instrument: With a wet finger.
- The radius to trigger the spawn ? 50m ???
- AI radius to detect players ? 20m ???
But OP wrote
It looks like a world generation (sentinels spawning mechanism),
but it could be a bad loop...
Or maybe a sentinel stays hidden in a building and when it comes back... of course the mission is still active and...
Or the normal sentinel event at the colony but it doesn't realize how much time it played between 2 attacks (:p)
hmmm...
It doesn't meant OP had not been absence for 1-2 distress before these visits or in between? May be OP can highlight more on this?
From personal experience 1-2 miss opportunities with the settlement distress is sufficient enough to accumulate distress attention to call in almost constant pirate raid or sentinel strike upon every visits.
Which is one of the reason I resulted in a kinda "Preston Garvey" situation in my survival play which I had been particularly reluctance to play nowadays.
There are two reasons that a Sentinel patrol harasses the village. Need to know which kind it is.
If the sentinel level is at 100% on your settlement you will have the same spwan until you kill all sentinels (corrupted ones) and reset the process. The next time you will not have sentinel (but later... !). Some newcomers peaple perks can reduce the rate of spawn (and some buildings too, you have to do some choices)
