Yes. Echo locators can find different camps, much like there are many drop pod locations, manufactoring buildings, etc. I think that there is only one ship type for planet, though? I'm not sure on this.
Yeah, or with a pencil and paper, or you can take a screenshot with the coordinates (N/S E/W) numbers to manually get there. Save beacon is easier. Only 5 per planet, however.
On screenshotting coordinates, I find it difficult to *see* the current coordinates in my starship when I am trying to fly back to a place. I always have to lurch the starship up at an angle, and then if I'm lucky I can see the current coordinates for half a second. Am I missing something here? Is it really that difficult?
gh0stwizard, what is MT storage? Multi-Tool storage? I was able to get the multi-tool from the Harmonic Camp, but you must be talking about something else. I can already store several MTs that I can switch to through the 'X' menu.
Drop a base computer, instead; you can teleport to it.
Also, I believe you are capped at 5 save beacons per planet... no such restriction on base computers.
You can make a base at a camp but I almost never go through all that just to mark a camp. If for some reason you want to go to multiple camps you can use multiple echo locators but I personally don't find much reason to do that.
However, I thought there was a max of 406 bases or something. Of course, that's not *really* a limit. :)
Otherwise, you could, if you wanted (I did on one save) have a personal fleet of 12 Interceptors.
If you are hunting for a wild-found S class of a design that you particularly like, then eventually a camp will run out of sites and start sending you back to ones you have already farmed. That's when you move to another camp.
If you've unlocked the Autophage quest, when you ping for the first Interceptor site, the hidden Autophage will appear at the camp. Take a radiant quest from one of them. Do it but don't hand it in. Then whenever you need to go back there, highlight that quest in your log and the camp will be marked.
