Stealing from sentinel capital ship harms reputation?

Sentinels seem to be universally hated by every faction, so why does looting the cargo pods on a sentinel capital ship harm my reputation as if i was raiding a normal freighter?

not all Sentinel Freighters are manned by Sentinels... only the ones that come after you in battle... the others are manned by NPCs and your reputation is based on those manning the one you steal from... unless you are in Pirate space...

It spawned when i was at 5 wanted level, it was shooting at me, and it had a boss health bar. I'm 99% sure it wasn't a civilian freighter. Destroying the freighter itself didn't harm my reputation, only the cargo pods.

that's very interesting... i've never tried to shoot the pods on attacking Freighters during battles... i think i would report this on the HG zendesk, though... it may be something was overlooked in those scenarios... https://hellogames.zendesk.com/
