How to add tech slots to spaceship?
All right, I just upgraded my spaceship from B to A.

Now, I would love to add tech slots to it.

How?

I did look online. I went to the spacestation spaceship station (what a mouthful) and there is a greyed out option for "use augmentation"?

Salvaging starships (varying probabilities based on class and number of undamaged cargo slots in the ship being salvaged).

Freighter crash site containers

Frigate Expeditions

Wheelbarrows at Harmonic Camps on Dissonant planets

I'm sure there's more.

...........I just got one aug module. I think it was from scrapping a ship?

But I scrapped 2, and only got 1 augment :(

awesome, thank you.

this game is surprisingly deep.

I have no idea what a wheelbarrow is, or even dissonant planet. Should be fun, will look for it now.

Spoiler:
Once you've visited a Harmonic Camp and uncovered the really easy repeatable salvage operation, you'll probably never go back to salvaging "normal" starships again.
Except for salvaging parts for building your own.

Just FYI, regarding getting the storage augments from scrapping, it's not a guarantee.

The chance of getting one (or more) depends on both the ship's type and the ship's class. S-class ships are always a sure bet though, you will always get at least 1 storage augment when scrapping an S-class ship and fair odds of getting more than one.

Undamaged cargo slots do not affect the probabilities at all though. They affect scrap value earned (Units) but not the other scrap yields (storage augments and tech modules).

The best way to obtain Storage Augmentation modules is to:

1. Find a space station with a guild that offers a free storage augmentation module with max reputation.
2. Do what is necessary to donate to that guild to build up reputation with that guild. You can also go on missions for that guild to build up your reputation with that guild, but donating the requested items is usually much faster, especially if you already have those items.
3. Build your reputation to the max level to obtain the free Storage Augmentation modules from that guild.
3,. Collect your free Storage Augmentation module from the guild at the Station.
4. Warp to ANY OTHER SPACE STATION. Then warp back to the one with the free modules.
5. Collect your free Storage Augmentation module.
6. Rinse and repeat steps 4 & 5.

Basically, once you get that guild reputation to max, you can collect unlimited free Storage Augmentation modues. Just keep warping to and from that station, and collect your free module.

This method can be made to work even faster if you find two space stations with guilds that offer free Storage Augmentation Modules. Then you can warp from one to the other, and collect at both, over and over until you have enough. Need more? Collect more. There is no limit.

This method also works for Frigate modules and Freighter Storage Expansion modules. Guilds got em. You want em. Go get em!

OK. That's a good average return. What is your complaint?

Were they A's or S's, or Haulers w/ relatively undamaged/repaired Cargo arrays?

Those types will give you the best % return of Storage Augments.

ahhh thank you google's peasant!

I never even interacted with a guild rep yet..... so much to do here, so much to learn

@dreamrider: no complaint, I am new
