Way to get Dissonant Resonator & not get sentinel attack?
I want to get the dissonant resonators so I can get the echo locators, without getting attacked by sentinels. Is there a way to do that? I don't like having to go up into space to summon anomaly so attacks stop each time. Can't do much fighting or I get motion sick. Thanks!

Blaze Javelin and maybe the Cloaking Device if needed. Max the reach/effect to the Javelin and you can snipe the Dissonance Resonator from a distance. Be sure to get near to the Resonator and see what it will drop (shows when up close to it). If it is and Echo Locator, move off then SNIIIIPPEE!
Thanks, I will try that! I didn't have a cloaking device installed. Forgot about it.

Dissonant planets can have Sentinel Pillars. Get maps (they can drop in Buried Caches and can be Guild rewards if you are averse to any fighting) and de-activate the sentinels on that planet. All corrupted sentinels guarding the resonators will be reduced to combat supplies barrels immediately and you can harvest all the Echo Locators and Inverted Mirrors you want, along with their supplies which will give you some crystallised Hearts for the multi-tool repairs too.

Additionally, the easiest way to do a disable run on a Pillar...
...is to fly to it, and land as close to the Interface Pad as you can. Like maybe a couple yards away if you can....
... WITH THE INTERFACE TERMINAL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR SHIP!
Ignore all guardian Sentinels, run the few steps to the Interface.
"E" to log in to the Interface.
Choose the action to Disable All Sentinels.

Any guardians won't even start shooting at you for a few seconds. You may get it turned off before they even react. Even if they do, you can take a few hits while you shut them down.

Then the planet is gravy. Until you leave the system.
Wow didn't even know they shut down the entire planet.

either turn off sentinels at a sentinel pillar on the planet, or go to a dissonant planet in an outlaw system and get them by shooting it from your ship. For some reason in those systems corrupted sentinels aren't triggered, even if you shoot them too. Easy to do as well if you use a sentinel interceptor as they can basically hover in place

Just shoot them from a distance, and then avoid the corrupted sentinels. Corrupted sentinels are a lot worse than normal sentinels at hunting and finding players.

Simple. Find a pirate system with dissonance in the galaxy map. Just hover a few and you will eventually find one. When shooting them from your ship, you won't get wanted level.

I mentioned this in the very beginning of the thread and I guess nobody believes me. LOL.

There is another pacific way to get inverted mirrors, you can hunt autophag on the surface and sometime they drop 10 inverted mirror in a single one, generally I repair this one as reward lol.

This has helped. I am having more luck getting echo locators to find the camps. Want them for mt to break down to hopefully get more slots for my two main MT. Plus the wheel barrows sometimes have ship, suit or MT slots. Also seeing what weapon is the best on my MT.

All advice here is solid. I've used all of these methods at different times as I collect crashed interceptors as a hobby. In order of most effective that I've tried:

1. Duplication Glitch (search it up if you don't mind leveraging an exploit)
2. Harvesting Inverted Mirrors from ship in pirate system (sentinel interceptors hover). Recommend arming with positron ejector which fries everything guarding it too.
3. Upgraded Minotaur. It's mining laser has very long effective range and it can easily out jump sentinels.
4. Max out the scatter gun in a multi-tool with upgrades and supercharged slots. You can literally stand still and destroy the mirror and the sentinels if you don't feel like running (even with max difficulty).

Also note that the mirror goes through a death animation after it's taken fatal, which lasts about 2 seconds. Once you see it stop taking damage, you can move on and it will blow-up on it's own. This can help if you're planning an escape. Happy hunting.

I use a max upgraded mining beam on my multitool from a long distance. Usually the sentinels can't find me if I'm far enough away. But if that doesn't work I'd try running away or using exocraft to run away. It's pretty easy to lose the sentinels as long as you have an escape plan.

An incomplete list of tips to avoid sentinels on dissonant world:
  • Disable the sentinels across a whole planet using a Sentinel Pillar.
  • Install a cloaking device to become invisible and escape.
  • Treat your companion well. Give it armour and ride a companion to escape attacks. Sentinels hesitate to attack companions. Improve their stamina. and traits.
  • Hot worlds you can jet pack further or higher for longer while running away.
  • Make use of digging tunnels, using caves or buildings to block sentinel line of sight.
  • Avoid trouble using the Blaze Javelin to attack dissonant resonators over a long range.
  • Hunt on dissonant worlds in Pirate systems where there is less sentinel attention.
  • Upgrade exocraft lasers or weapons and their speed, for fast hit and run raids.
  • Search for Autophage harmonic scrap piles, that can supply 10 inverters in one pile.
  • Steal from the wheel barrow scraps at Sentinel encampments.
  • Upgrade the exosuit defensive shield with upgrades, to increase character lives.

Also once you have disabled sentinels you can destroy resonators in the ship :)

Oh, there is enough credit to pass around.

That explains why I was able to at one point use my ship and not get attacked. Then next time I played I got attacked every time I used my ship. I didn't realize it had to do with it being or not being a pirate system!
