best planets?
new player here. slight spoilers I guess?

what are the best / fun planets for you?

I do not know them all (I think), but I happened upoon Atlantean planet, and it is awesome.

Those blue thingamajigs are everywhere, easy to mine, and they bring lots of credits.

The shards are incredibly prevalent, making nanite farming a breeze.

i have to admit it is satisfying when your hazard protection drops and you find somewhere for it to regenerate naturally.

My favorite planets are any planet with very extreme storms. I just like the visual effects, especially as of the more recent update that made them even better.

The Liquidators expedition was a real joy for me because it had me fighting a lot of battles in the middle of storms on various planets and one of the expeditions' planets had the most dense distribution of storm crystals that I've ever seen in all my years playing NMS. Definite perma-base planet there.

Mine are paradise planets preferably without storms, where the sentinels don't bother you and the really perfect ones would be with palm trees... had a few of those but the latest update changed the fauna on them

Doesn't matter to me. They are all round.

If I get a somewhat flat area and don't have a base yet that where I build my base. Weather doesn't matter your base is inside.

dissonant planets with calm weather and low sentinel activity.

I think best planet is kind of like best car. People will have different preferences on what they enjoy. Like stormy planets, some of the old British cars are difficult to work on, hard to find parts for, and generally a lot of cussing tasks to keep running...but that is why some car buffs love them.

I do agree that the extreme planets with lightning and tornadoes can be kind of fun for a short time period. The fun gets old pretty quick because they make life complicated.

Not sure if they are still around, but the planets with several types of man-eating fauna were always fun in a frantic run and shoot sort of way. I kind of enjoy the being chased part of the game.

I did a quick video of one planet because rather than shoot them, it can be fun to be the hunted.
