Minotaur AI in combat?
I might be missing something but is the AI in the Minotaur designed to follow you around and do nothing else while you fight on foot? If so, it is quite well implemented.

Minotaur Pros: It looks cool when it jumps to get to you and the noise and ground shaking is really cool!

Minotaur Cons: Everything else.

It will help in a fight if weapons are installed. Cannon seems to be the best in a non-nexus modded Mino.

Should I remove all the Nexus weapons and leave only the cannon?

The Minotaur AI is nice for combat once you have fully upgraded it. It still gets in the way, but the cannon is very effective against sentinels. I think the big weakness is it can be damaged so PITA to keep fixing it. Before you fix it up, it is pretty unremarkable.

It is not effective at all against the little alien babies that pop up when you disturb their nests around an abandoned POI. For whatever reason, it has a hard time targeting them and takes massive damage from the acid they spit.

Unless you just like the idea of having back up during a sentinel fight, it may be best if you just get in it and fight the sentinels on the ground. It is very tank like and packs a wallop.

The Nexus I'm referring to is https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky

The cannon is powerful, and S class upgrades can unleash plenty of damage. The Mino has now 4 weapons.
Laser
Flamethrower
Stun
Cannon

The stun does no damage but paralyzes the enemy for a brief period.
The laser is weak sauce.
The flamethrower is not balanced with the FX range of the animation. ie. no damage beyond the torch zone and the Mino will attempt to use it on enemies out of range thus wasting a round of time for the game AI to "cool down" until it's AI and game param's switch to a different weapon.

If you have Laser installed, you can force the Mino to use only the Cannon if the laser module is unpacked and put in it's inventory.
Unpack it if you want to jump in and mine/pilot it your self.

The great thing about AI Mino is that it uses no fuel when in AI mode. If you take charge and pilot it and mine with it, fuel is consumed.

It is fully upgraded, including the arms. It never ever took a shot at the sentinels in the settlement and the sentinels never targeted it. It was just always trying to follow me. I got close to the enemies and the minotaur just wanted to get behind me.

Settlement is the only place the Mino will not fight Corrupt Sents.

LOL, the Settlement gets more useless every day! Having the Settlement is like having a nagging wife. The rest of the universe is my lawn and the spaceship is my riding mower to get away from the stupid Settlement.

It is, however, awesome to be RIDING the Minotaur when you disturb a BioHorror infestation. Jump it on top of a building, rock, or ship, just as you would on foot. but faced with Minotaur weapons, the green uglies pop like soap bubbles.

It is also THE way to go when fighting a Brood.

But...but...it is so fun to walk out the door of the Overseer's Office, and try to one-shot all 6 of the Corrupt Raiders with the Blaze J, before they even zero in on your direction. :steamhappy:
