Map for planet or system search
huhu :)

Is there a map that I can use to easily find a planet or a system? I've been looking for something useful for a week, but what's "offered" isn't useful to me. I don't want to enter coordinates so I know where I am, or have to select anything else in apps or tools that don't help me.

I would love a map where I enter a system name and then get a map showing where the system is and maybe even glyphs to teleport there. I've tried tons of third-party tools from the wiki or whatever else you can find via Google search. A complete waste of time, got me nowhere.

Does such a map even exist?

I have no idea what is possible in Starfield, and I don't care at all.

why the heck would i need a map (SYSTEM or PLANETARY) in NMS?????

Now I'm confused... what's the point of such a stupid, idiotic "question" about why you have to have something somewhere and then subtly so derogatory ??????? I'm also putting a lot of question marks... Because you're of the opinion that you don't need it, it might be superfluous in your opinion (and others'). Why the heck aren't you allowed to ask about it? Or ask whether there's a FAN PROJECT that somehow makes something like that possible? But whatever, it's the same old stupid discussion about whether you need something or not... pointless to discuss it...

exactly! that's the reason, because you need a map so you don't get lost, or because you're too stupid (quite the opposite of you) to find your way around with all the space stations or portals or teleporters... my God...:blech:

it doesn't occur to you that you can ask something like that for a specific reason, does it? There's no other way to interpret your stupid answer

I could answer why I asked, but after reading such crap here in response to a simple question... I just don't feel like it anymore...

Thanks to everyone else who wanted to help constructively or posted links to websites...:dwarfbeer:
m8 settle down, there's no need for hysterics, re-read my entire post
nowhere did i say YOU can't ask or suggest anything, i simply gave MY opinion of your 'request/suggestion'
the 'stupid, idiotic' question marks (after NMS) that you got so upset about are cos NMS has NO have unique planetary locations (except 1 portal per planet)... if you lose one, find another... if you don't want to lose it... slap down a beacon or a base or note the planetary coordinates down (take a screen shot or write it in a notepad)

anyways the kind of maps you're talking about implies known locations B4 you visit them, NMS doesn't work like that, it's about exploring to find locations... locations that in themselves aren't unique (cos there are always more than 1 on a planet (portal excepted)

your 'rabid' reply failed to notice that other than my mention that the 'feature' you want sounds like something in starfield, the rest of my post was expressing 'MY opinion from MY perspective' of your suggestion and notice i didn't need to get personal/rude to say it

again just to be clear
i find it funny to ask for planetary maps cos NMS has NO unique POIs (again except 1 portal per planet) that would benefit from a map
which (for me anyways) makes a call for planetary maps a joke... that's not a personal attack on you, it's a (sad) fact of the game and if you've not realised that after 300hrs i'm sorry to be the one to break it to you:steamfacepalm:

We even can't mark planet to set target point - you need to check every ball on screen to find planet you need to visit.

not correct... and btw this whole topic is sounding more and more like USER ERROR
the ONLY planets you NEED to visit are mission ones... anything else is exploration, are you saying it's too hard for you to figure out how-to switch to 1st person (cockpit view) and orientate your ship via the ship's radar?
cos even without that you'd still have to find and scan each planet individually to know wot it was and therefore whether you want to go there (unless you're using a freighter's scanner room)

Hm, ship radar. Should check if it has names...
