Shaihuluda (GIANT WORM) EGG - How to get it

Hello there!

I was coming back to the game after several years, and I couldn't find a way to tame a Giant Worm, I was reading about and looking for info and I've seen you only can get it through an EGG, but the only way to get it is from someone who already has a Giant Worm as a pet, because they can produce more eggs.

Could some veteran player help me out here with this?

I think you might be confusing the "giant worms" with the creatures that fly in the sky and look similar. Basically a bird that looks like a worm. I'm sure you've seen those. Those can be tamed and ridden.

Apparently, It was a reward from an expedition some years ago. I think that only the ones who got the reward can produce eggs by feeding them. You right about the name, maybe it's wrong name, but I'm talking about the huge sand worms.

you can get every reward from expedition via save editor. it's a sandbox box game so feel free to use it

I would ask in chat at the Anomaly. If you visit a few times someone is sure to transfer one. It's easy to do. Basically if a player has completed expedition 4 Emergence or the replay of it the egg was one of the rewards. Any new custom save can be used to visit the anomaly quickly, (without optionally doing the tutorial either on a new start). The egg can be redeemed on any new save and transferred to other players.

I'm not certain but the egg may also have been a reward in other expeditions or possibly a Twitch reward. Past rewards have been re-released sometimes as Twitch drops or in the replays of expeditions later in seasonal holidays.

But to summarise the egg is an expedition reward collected at the Anomaly expedition vendor, (same Quicksilver NPC) that any player who has access can easily pass to another player from a new save. Perhaps if they don't want it on a current save, may not even need to start a new save to claim it again. Hope you get one, I'm sure you will. :D

Once a player has birthed the Titan Worm then it can also birth new eggs repeatedly, over several hours in the correct planet biome conditions. So in fact, even the expedition reward is not needed. Players often display their flying worm companions at the Anomaly, so you could always ask them if their pet is able to give birth to a new egg. You would both then group up and travel to a suitable planet for the worm to give birth and then transfer the egg. An egg can be hatched anywhere I think, even within the Anomaly.

A mod can be used but it can be complex and has potential to corrupt a save. But as a last resort, always make a back up of your save before attempting anything like that.

I have plenty of them and my worm produces every day a new one, just tell me when u are online the next day or add me and i can give you the sentinel dog pet and the flying dune worm. and you can build a base on the worm suitalbe planet if you wanna have more and give them to others.

Be in for some disappointment if you get that egg. They are fun for a bit...but not really stellar in size.

Hey is there any chance you’re still giving them out? Just got back into the game and saw one for the first and would really love one as a pet myself.

As noted, the easiest way is to just fire up one of the save game editors and add it to your save. Probably takes longer to install the editor than to get the item. Plus, you can add any other cool stuff you missed from prior expeditions.

I use the Goatfungus one and it is very straightforward to use. I have not used the other one but it supposed to be great as well.
