Well I did notice that sentinel pillars won't change though. I literally was able to invite someone whom I did some missions with to come and take the same royal gun I got from a pillar. The other player came from a random different system and was able to pickup the same multitool I had picked up from the same sentinel pillar.
I mean if that was just a freak coincidence I guess that's that. But judging from the sentinel pillar instance as well as all other multitools from space stations and whatnot not changing I assumed that might either be a bug or just a feature due to the unstable nature of stuff related to atlantideum giving the possibility of rerolling aesthetics.
Then again I gotta admit most of the time I looked at class and slots (and those don't change in static locations usually) rather than aesthetics unless it is something special like a royal multitool.
Finish pillar and find a guppy gun (royal, two color combo like your guppy ship.) It's white/silver, bah dunna want it and super slots are tasty.
Fly to another planet within the system. Land, get out which gives you a manual save nms has renamed and my old brain can't remember new name. Reload the manual save - NOT the autosave. Get back in ship and boogie back to the pillar (where you obviously have laid down a compy or a beacon) and jump out of your ship and run to the pillar. Look at gun. It may now have a skin that is red/gold or any other combo it comes in.
If you are curious you can check every planet in the system this way plus the SS. Sometimes it's a dupe of what you have already seen but it can be any skin in the pool for that pillar. I would suggest writing down the results for ea planet as memory is a faulty process.
