Underwater base expedition goal

Whats the criteria for it to count towards expedition goal?
Power, depth......?

also if you place it and enter the base underwater it will tell you how deep you have placed it currently, If you have the milestone selected that is!

Depth doesn't matter. It just has to be in the water. The base doesn't need power.

You have to build a single room, one glass corridor, one pressurized door, and one moonpool. You get 90% of the materials from an earlier milestone, including all the Purified Ferite you need. You do need to gather a few pearls to complete it, but one of the milestones is collect 15 pearls, so you need to do that anyway.

You might consider gathering a few Salvaged Data packs so you can build a teleporter and a power supply. Otherwise the base is essentially lost to you once you leave the planet. Unlike many expeditions, you don't get the tech for those for free, so you need a minimum of like 7 Salvaged Data to unlock those at the Anomaly.

EDIT: I stand corrected on the depth requirement. I placed my base computer like 100u deep so I didn't notice that.
