I remember it, but when I tried, it only automatically harvest the fauna if I am near it which was defeating the purpose for me
I did get super lucky and built one right next to a fauna spawn site when the feeder and other junk came out. I would always if 8 to 10 animals using the feeder. Still, in my view, it is kind of a boring feature since I already dislike nutrition in general. I am sure some interloper loves it, but you rarely see them being used so must not be super popular.
I tried the farming thing when I heard that I could harvest the robotic fauna for their wires, I did set my base near faunas I found. But yeah, the harvester don't harvest unless I'm nearby for the fauna to spawn and psychically go to the automatic feeder
I called it a quit when I had to manually eat each wires by spamming my keyboard once I have a full stack of wires
Sorry for the confusion, I meant quit the fauna farm stunt, I have not filled any official complains nor refunded the game if this is what you were meaning by quitting and pouting :)
Wait. Your eating wires ? What benefit does this bring ?
I’ve forgotten the exact name, but the robotic fauna drops something like "munchy wires." When consumed, they give around 3 to 5 nanites. I'm not sure why.
The goal was to set up a nanite farm where, instead of us doing the manual labor (like with curiosity deposits), the robotic fauna would do the work using automatic feeders and harvesters once the farm is built and set up.
However, not only do the harvesters work only if I’m physically present at the farm, but I also have to manually consume each wire.
I found out the hard way, the idea of the Harvester being the one gathering those wires sounded like a great idea. I thought I could go explore the universe while I get some nanites going, yeah it might yield less but it looked "automated".
But nope, you have to stand near the feeders for them to produce the wires AND you have to manually consume each of them. Totally not worth the investment
