I killed 2, then another 6 separately and it still counted. Logically you could do 1 at a time when you come across them.
I built a 4*4 platform off the ground, with archways around it at there initial spawn point. Worked wonders.
i'm well aware of that. I can't even get to the wave with the quads when they are deaggroing wave 2
thank you, someone that can actually read before responding!
this seems to have been the problem. Going singleplayer fixed the weird spawn stuff
A Different approach; I fight normal sentinels to get lots of glass and extract them until I get a Boundary map for a Sentinel Pillar. Then on a Dissonant planet, use it. All Pillar's on Dissonant systems have at least 1 quad.
Drop a base, a save stick and that cool new Anomaly seal. Kill, save, reload and repeat. Is it cheesy? heck yeah but I've got way better things to do than spend hours chasing corrupted quads around.
See this post for more info w/planet names and coordinates: https://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/0/4691154661545163316/#c4691154661545165747
What I ended up doing, is going to the Space Stations in both systems that had Dissonant Planets, then went to the Teleport Terminal and found a User Base Titled "Sentinel Hunting Outpost", it was set right in between two Dissonant Resonators, and each one had one of the big Crab Sentinels.
So I jumped out of my ship to make a restore point, killed the two Sentinel Crabs.
Jumped in and out of my ship to set another restore point, and reloaded the restore point to respawn the Crabs again.
Rinsed and repeated until I had 8/8
It can be marginally less so if you skip the reloading part. Fly low and slow; every sentinel that draws into view will pop like a balloon, giant 'spiders' included. They still count.
Sentinel Pillars are awesome like that.
