Planet Urston in the second star system has storm crystals and as a bonus also has ancient bones (another expedition milestone). Land in the South and you might spot the rare creature to complete the creatures for a lot of nanites too.

Following the expedition route after using the first portal look for the fiery planet. Extreme storms generally appear frequently on planets with 'Activated Metals' (often found in coloured star systems), Also land on the dark side of the planet (at night time) and it will be easier to spot the storm crystals lit up during the storms.

If you visited the space station in that system you should be able to return by the teleporter or if you placed a base in the second system, return that way. Alternatively if you now have all the expedition portal glyphs to use, the planet portal address is:

Portal Address: 4047 FC A78 448

You aren't doing anything wrong, there can be extreme planets that simply don't have storm crystals.

In Rendezvous 1 system, there is an extreme radioactive planet (Oteusui Hosh) with a-hole Sentinels.

I'm about to run the Expedition again, I try and find a better planet.

I got them on one of the two planets that had activated metals that was in the system that corresponds to the phase where you needed them.

I have no recollection of the planet's name though, only that the system had 2 potential planets, and only 1 of them actually had storm crystals. I remember it well because I had to wait for freakin' ever for the storm to start. >.<

Look for planets with activated copper/cadmium/emeril/indium.
Those usually have storm crystals as well.

Even in my standard game i had a hell of a time getting any of these nasty little things.... if the RNG is in the mood to play 'keep away', it can with these, and it always in the mood for keep away with me.

(of course, you find them literally everywhere when you don't need them anymore)

So how many storm crystals will be needed? I DEFINATELY want to make them one of the items i bring from my primary game.

The game treats Storm Crystals the same as Gravitino balls... you cannot buy or "obtain" them, you must collect them. <- so bringing them thru the terminal is pointless :(

Best way to find a good plannet is to look for lightning during the storm.
If it is a storm with lightning then there are stormcrystals to be found.

You could also take the tedious route and collect them from tritium hyperclusters. I collected 2 or 3 just by farming up tritium for pulses.
