I went to four now and it's still not counting for my progress. Any advise?

Nope. Sorry, that's why I made this thread. Can't find any other threads related to this issue.

Can confirm this issue here too. The signal booster never gives any alien ruin locations, and if I find one with any other methods (eg. Artifact Chart), it doesn't count.
I'd be REALLY happy if there was a solution to this issue, or if there was some sort of hotfix, cuz this is preventing me/us from completing the expedition

Are you sure you're going to Alien Ruins sites and not Ancient Artifact sites?

Only the small alien ruins count. The ones with the mostly intact building with the edifice, which gives you a choice between learning new words or getting a location for a treasure ruin.
The Big ruins, which hold the treasure won't count for the expedition.

So it's not the Ancient Ruins but the Alien Sites? WTF

Same, signal booster does not detect Alien anything, and finding a site using charts from the station doesn't work.

You need to activate the sites

Can confirm: it's

Alien cartographic data (ancient artifact site)

charts that you need, and NOT

Dig site cartographic data (ancient ruined site)

charts.
