Locating the 2 ancient ruins - Expedition 16

Anyone pls help me, is there a strat or I just need to be lucky?

You don't need to run the rng of maps. Get a land exo craft even the basic roamer will do , equip it with the radar and resonator upgrade and that will allow you to scan for ruins. Once found you can just fly to the ruin.

This is what I do. forgive me if i miss a step or am unclear

Go to the space anomaly and find the exocraft research station. Buy the upgrades exocraft radar, radar amplifier, and radar power resonator. also buy a exocraft I like to use the namad. Build the exocraft on a world you dont even need to build a base. But you should for good fun and giggles. After building your exocraft and installing your radar and radar upgrades get inside your exocraft. Use x to bring up a menu that will allow you to scan. You can scan for many things which makes this fun to do also for other reasons. Scan for Ruins. If you dont get a Ruin move to another section of the world or go to another world. Rescan for a Ruin. You should get a message signal detected. Once you get one youll see an icon to move towards. I would fly as itll be quicker. Once you get to the ruin find the landmark itll often look like a diamond or circle kinda built into the structure. Use E to activate it. Go through the chit chat of the ruin and at the the end choose 2. Choice 2 is - seek knowledge of the past. That should give you a location without fail of a historical data site. The icon will look like a treasure chest. That should count as 1 found. I dont think you even need to go to the location but should for good fun and giggles. Repeat the process again. perhaps best in another system but you should not have to. Just move to another section and scan for another Ruin.
I also like to buy the upgrade orbital exocraft materialiser and build it on your freighter/capital ship. Once you build an exocraft on world youll be able to summon your exocraft in any system you have moved your freighter/capital ship to. You dont need to fly your freighter/capital ship in just resummon that also provided your not in a red green or blue system then youll need further upgrades for your freighter/capitol ship to get it to summon in the system. A Ruin can be used for 2 things. 1 learn a word of that race in the system or 2 seek knowledge of the past. seeking knowledge of the past will give you the historical data site. knowledge stones will give you 1 word of that race. often youll find knowledge stones around sites and dotting the landscape all over planets.
