You can prove it to yourself by always killing the Healers first in a normal battle wave, You will see that the other units now retain their accumulated damage (assuming you have killed ALL of the little Healer gnats in the wave.)
Best way to deal with Corrupted floaters shifting into Healer mode is to immediately damage any CS floater that shifts to Healing mode. Damaging them will interrupt the healing ray for a few seconds. So you can either switch back to the destroy the target they came to heal, or continue to destroy the temporary Healer, since both units are damaged now.
