Impossible to download other bases

Hello,

Everytime I try to teleport to someone else base it says "unable to download".
However it works from the nexus but there are very few bases available.
Anyone know how to fix that ?

More than likely Discovery Services is down or having issues. There have been times where I was in a system with a lot of player bases and they stopped showing up in the teleporter list. Even the base icons stopped showing on planets. Try again later, they may come back.

thanks for the answer, but the bases are showing up in the list, it's just when I click it it says "impossible to download"

In the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - there's a flashback scene where some monkeys are beating on a monolith... yeah that's how long this "failed to download" base bug has been around.

The cool thing is one of the Anomaly helmets is 100% modeled after the space suits in this movie.

I made a base before the Worlds I update. After the update, a volcano was placed on my base. As a result, my friend could not download my base and enter it through the portal or by flying to the planet. When he and I fly to the planet, we cannot enter my base. It shows up as inside a volcano, which is impenetrable. However, when I enter through a portal in nexus, I am able to enter my base. The territory of my base no longer has the volcano, and I can walk around outside it just as I could before the Worlds I update. However, my friend cannot download my base.

Having said that, I suspect the same situation may have happened to the base you are trying to visit. It may have been moved to an inaccessible location, preventing anyone but the creator from accessing.

Yeah, I guess my reply was the "beat around the bush" but the same as your reply... so yeah, there is no work around or even temporary fix as far as I'm aware :(

yea it is a great way to get to other galaxies from the anomaly when you can download the maps? it might have to do with people making the base then alterating it a bit and not re sending it to the servers/? worst thing thats happened to me now twice is the entire base vanishes after being created. I have no one allowed to add or delete stuff so i dunno/.? glitchy game

I see a download button on the switch from time to time. But in order to get them to work I need discovery services up and sometimes a shutdown and reboot on the switch. Might help on PC or maybe exit and restart steam perhaps.

If I see the "unable to download" message at a base or station teleporter, and I want to visit that base, I jump in my starship and fly there, assuming I'm in the same system.

If you are talking about bases you see in the Nexus teleporter, you'll only be able to port to them if the owner is IN the anomaly. If they've been there a second ago, bit left already, the base tag might still be in your cache, but you'll see the "can't download" thing.

Ah, that explains why I wasn't able to bring someone to my base the one time I tried...
I jumped there and they were unable to follow...
That's a pretty weird approach though...
