Phase 3 Step 2 but no Hyperdrive

Hey all, i struggle with Phase 3 Step 2 "Endless hunger". when i open the map to locate a system i cant jump, cause the expedition ship doesnt have a hyperdrive neither its a quest step reward. I also cant research one at the Nexus.

How can reach other systems?

In The Cursed, you can only go a set of pre defined systems and it seems like its the same systems for everyone. You can only travel to a new system for the first time using the Elixir of Blood + Symbol. The systems should have what you need to complete any step. Keep in mind that some steps might require you to go back to the previous phase systems via the Space Station.

If PHase 3 step 2 is the one about exotic creatures, the first one is in-system on the Pillar of Light planet. The other creature can be found in the space station less system. I got there by going to a space station portal and searching for player bases that matched the planet conditions from my database in the pause menu. I found the second creature on a Scaled Planet.

In the Cursed expedition your starter ship does not have a hyper drive, however there have been posts here that say the found crashed ones and the ones you can buy from npcs do. So that's one option if you have the units.

Otherwise you need to follow the tasks to each portal (found using the silver elixir ), activate it using the correct blood elixir, and once on the other side fly to the space station. This will give you a point to go back to.

However there is one system that does not have a station, so you will need to build a base to go back to it. I'm not sure if you can use the blood elixer again to travel there as I didn't have to, might be worth a try if you are really stuck.

I forget which system it is, but one of the ones through the portals is an extreme infested world. It is not a nice place to hang out, but has plenty of worms,

Wait you can find exotic creatures outside of exotic worlds? Why does the log basically lie to you? And how are we supposed to find it if nobody knows the name of the system or the planet? I don't remember a space-stationless system

You do not ever need a hyperdrive in Exp 16. Portals and Teleporters are all you should ever need.

Phase 3, Milestone 2 Endless Hunger is achievable in the system you arrive in for Phase 3, Gaxaral. There is an infested planet there, Wisbor XV.

The possible problem you are encountering will be if you have already left Gaxaral because it is an uncharted system and has no space station for you to teleport back to. Ideally you should have dropped a Base Computer in that system.

You can:
Use any Portal to go back to Gaxaral (414BFCA78448C) - you got the full Glyph set at the end of Phase 1 and portals can be found easily with a quicksilver elixir.
or:
Find a player base in Gaxaral in the Teleporter list from the Anomaly or a Space Station.
or:
Salvage a Sentinel Interceptor which will have a functional Hyperdrive to go off-path and then return to the Expedition path.

Yeah this caught me off guard too, best is to find bases named exotic etc.

Robotic life may only be found in uninhabited systems but their presence is not confined to a specific biome. Thus, iron horses and spider-buildings count as 'exotic' for the purpose of one particular milestone because they all live on the same exotic planet. A Scaled planet.

Phase 3 | Rendezvous 2 | Gaxaral | Todai 63/Z1 : 114BFCA7844C

As the milestone in question is part of Phase 4 a number of participants will inevitably miss this opportunity to complete it earlier than expected; some of them are all a-flutter because there are only two exotic worlds left on the itinerary and the second of these is in a system they have yet to reach... which is to say they don't know it's there.

There is only 1 infested planet for the Endless Hunger milestone in the 6 Expedition systems. It's in Gaxaral.

However, it is worth doing that "scan the exotics" milestone in advance while you are in Gaxaral, because it has the easiest planet to achieve it.

So weird things here for me... I have only managed to trigger the appearance of two of the quadrapeds... no matter how much I attack no others are showing up for a fight; only the tiny floating devices appear.

So I thought I'd go to the next gateway... I returned to the portal I originally arrived at, but I can't get an elixir to fire it up for the next portal.

In both cases - what am I doing wrong? (Thanks -0- I have had enough trying to figure it out on my own. :-)

I had to turn on predators and combat to default, and I flew to some gamergirl base named Arachn something.

And use quicksilver for portal and make sure u tag it in questline.

Oh I misunderstood. Still annoyingly difficult to return to some systems that don't have a space station.

Yeah, I was pretty sure I had seen another one somewhere hence my statement in the FAQ thread.

Multiple instances of every planet type required to fulfil all the milestones are available in the 6 systems you visit.

But I couldn't see it when I went back and double-checked myself before posting that "one planet" statement. Looks like I only landed on it on my 2nd runthrough, which I deleted to free up a save slot for additional runs, and I didn't associate Corrupted with Infested - probably distracted by Dissonance.

So it was slightly weird... but I shut down the game, came back the next day, and the problem had disappeared. I have no idea why it would, but it did.

I'm running the completely stock vanilla game, no mods of any type.

So for me, exiting, shutting down then coming back to the game at a later time resolved my problems.
