This game is about the same experience as collecting stamps.
The thing I like most about it is the fact I could explore the universe in this game for the rest of my life and never see it all.
And building stamp castles.
I disagree. Missions have goals. They all do. You can also make goals of your own and that is not opinion or subjective, it's fact.
Look I have played this game for about 250 hours and just giving him my honest opinion. I am here because I want certain things in the game like a better story and better encounters in the game and they are the only company that frequently update the game.
You have to remember some people like collecting stamps like my grandfather. :D
I never said those not fond of the game couldn't be here. I just find it odd that someone who finds the game boring, shallow, and easy would be on a discussion board for the game. I just move on. But for some reason, people like posting how repetitive and shallow they find this game. What are they getting out of it? So I ask, why are they here?
Different personalities is all it is, though I do suspect the former people are much happier.
I would say buy it, and if you don't like it after an hour, refund it. It does not dramatically change after that hour and there is no second level. Long term, you have to be creative and set your own goals because it is a sandbox.
If you get the vibe, you can play for thousands of hours. Still worth it if you only get 50 hours.
And the level of activity in this game is basically equivalent to throwing rocks or pouring water from one glass to another. Other than building a bunch of bases, there is really nothing to do here - all other activities get old very fast. Unless you actually enjoy finding iron thousand times over on every new planet you visit under a new name. The game needs more depth and some reason to play, other than the grind for sake of the grind.
Sure, if you load up the game and dislike it immediately, then you can refund, but if you actually play it properly before you realize what kind of game it actually is, it would be too late by then.
