GamePass Crossplay

My friends are playing in gamepass and I want to join them but I can't add them as friends. Someone knows if there is crossplay between both platforms?

Gamepass, Steam, Playstation, and Xbox (console) versions all have crossplay.
First you must make sure that cross play is turned ON in your game settings.
Second you and your friends will need to exchange your NMS friend code, which can be found in-game. Go to multiplayer, and press show my NMS friend code.
Use your preferred method of chatting to exchange your codes, then in the multiplayer tab, you press the Add NMS friend, and then enter your friends NMS friend code there.

You may need to restart you game or just return to the main menu, but then if you return to the multiplayer tab after you all have exchanged and entered your codes, then you can see who is ingame and join them.

Up to 4 players can form a squad.
