Pretty much. The only things we know are what has been posted on the official site.
If you had PS Plus and uploaded the save to the cloud, possibly. You'd have to get access to a playstation (if you have a PS5 now, that will work). Install the PS4 version of NMS on it and download the save from the PSN cloud. Then, once you launch the game, you would be able to upload that save to the NMS cross save cloud. This is of course assuming they ever actually open more bets slots.
There is a limited number of participants for the beta test, which will gradually be expanded as bugs are addressed.
Presumably, the service will be available to everyone once the beta testing is completed.
I find it odd how many people feel like HG are holding out on them for this rather than appreciating the fact that they aren't risking your save files with potentially buggy service...
Usually the complaint is that they didn't do enough testing before releasing updates...
Yeah they didn't exactly make that clear in their big bold advertisement of the feature. Not everyone has the time to read every word of every patch note every time. They really should not have hyped this as a headline feature for the patch.
It would be linked to your PSN account if you do it properly. If you didn't, or don't, have PS+ you might have lost access to it.
