28 Milestones. 11 from Polestar, 12 from Beachhead, 5 new to this Redux, including Fishing.
i understand some like it i don't
There are some expeditions I would never do again, mainly because they can be frustrating as hell. The Ground Hog's Day one-where you have to die and then hope you avoid dying until you reach a certain phase so you don't have to do everything over again. That was super annoying...cool idea, just horrible implementation.
I will take fishing any time over that madness.
It was an easy task, but it added nothing to the experience... except the need to do something else while I mindlessly hit cast/reel...
The fishing expo was more than enough of that, thanks...
There was/is literally no need to mash it into a redux of an expo from years before it was part of the game...
Personally, I find the addition of fishing milestones less annoying then the whole "Float on the surface of deep water for 60 seconds" or "Stare at the stars for 60 seconds" etc. etc. that we've seen in recent expeditions.
The fishing ones require you to participate just enough that you have to be actively at the console/computer... but just waiting until it's time to press a button again... and let's not forget that it has entirely RNG based results...
I personally am a big fan of RNG elements in video games; when things are predictable, I get bored more quickly. But I do understand that sort of thing is not everyone's cup of tea.
as i did this one and almost all other expeditions when they originally launched the rewards are not what its about, replaying them for fun i know strange concept these days is non existent with the addition of fishing at least for me
You should recognize by now that HG balances tasks that appeal to everyone.
I always hate stealing whispering eggs, but I don't complain about it. Try recognizing everyone has different opinions about which mechanics are enjoyable.
The point is that it is one, single milestone that doesn't take very long. Expeditions having specific milestones that a portion of the community does not like is as old as expeditions existing in the first place. This is not a unique situation.
