Doing the expedition to get the Mass effect ship, Operation Beachhead, on phase 2 you are supposed to catch 5 uncommon fish on a frozen planet.
Am on a sub-zero planet and have caught 3 uncommon fishes now but it still says 0/5 in the milestone.

Bug or feature? :)

Anyone else have this problem?

It's not just uncommon fish you need to catch, read it again. It's uncommon cold-biome-specific fish. Not all fish that you catch are specific to the biome you are fishing in.

There is also a pool of "common" fish which can be caught anywhere. Those do not count for the milestone because they don't match what the milestone is telling you to catch.

Spend a little carbon to make some mealworm bait. It will up the rarity of the fish you catch so that when you do catch cold biome fish they will be more likely to also be uncommon. With mealworms as bait the milestone took me maybe 10 minutes to complete in the very first system i jumped to on the way to rendezvous 1.

No but it took me about 15 or 17 "catches" before I completed it.

The planet in the Rendezvous TWO system (Suurazumi) -> Aaki 52/U4 has fish and it has a base named "fish!"

In every biome, there are 42 types of fish that can be caught. 21 are specific to that biome, 21 can be caught in all biomes. None of the "all biome" fish will count.

Of the 21 Cold fish varieties, 7 are "common", leaving 14/42 possibilities for Uncommon or rarer.

I just caught 2 Frost shell Clams, uncommon, and those counted. :)
