I always play them in SP mode and it helps remove a lot, but not all, of the player clutter. Best to stick with the standard and non-episodic modes if Expeditions mode really bugs you.
A way of flitering out the clutter would be nice, but unlikely since it would be similar to saying " I like capitalism, just not all the advertising."
With "them" do you mean expedition mode? Expedition can be played in singleplayer? How?
I like the expedition but all those icons are just meh... Encountering people is also nice but reducing thir pop up appearance to like 100km (whatever units that is^^) would be so much better. ;)
Okay thanks for the answers, gonna try to travel a bit aside the expedition route.
Does anyone know if there are mods for this? I will try to find some
on side question for a noob: what exactly can I do with other players or how can I benefit from them? I see their bases but what do they offer? They are mostly empty?
Sry im still pretty new to the expedition
Suggesting that a large portion of game content be tossed aside just because it's "intended for MP" is not a satisfying answer IMO.
Interesting gameplay like finding a crashed ship? Or maybe its entering a Trading Post that's interesting for you? I have fun with expeditions as a whole (and I take my time) but not every milestone is fun and interesting.
I personally like visiting other player bases. There are some very creative players out there. The players that are providing help usually do a good job of appropriately naming the base in a way that helps identify it. Sure there are a few trolls that try to put traps in them, but now that you can report the base and it disappears, those are fun also.
I'm not into the grindy milestones, if other players bases reduce that grinding. I thankful for the help.
Totally agree! A noob can learn something from the grindy milestones, but when you already have 1500+ hrs, I appreciate the helpful players that enable me to check those boxes and move on to the more interesting and unique milestones. E4 had plenty of both.
