Is there a mod to disable vignetting by default in photos/screenshots?
Vignetting is a really stupid effect, especially for screenshots. Is there a mod to totally disable Vignetting in photos? It gets really annoying having to disable it in the photo mode all the time.

Is there a mod that does this by default? I had a quick look on the NMS nexus and couldn't find one, just some outdated ones that disable other post processing in game, not in photo mode.

No, we haven't been able to figure it out completely. There's one mod that turns it off, but you have to hit a key to activate it each time. I might try again sometime soon, as I hate the default vignette, mainly because it's only on the top half.

i thought there was an option for it in the settings? probably has to be set for each save like the MP settings have to be done...

There was a mod but it's been abandoned so no longer available. Try searching at nexusmods.com though.

@Grumsk Whats the name of that mod? All the mods I've run across on The Nexus and the NMS modding subreddit are outdated and as far as I can see would have only turned it off in normal gameplay, not in Photo Mode

@Krash Megiddo Vignetting is that annoying shadowing in the corners of screenshots taken in Photo Mode that you have to disable every time you restart the game. Its also used in ordinary gameplay, I turned off those graphical effects immediately. Unfortunately those settings don't effect Photo Mode. Like chromatic aberration, its the sort of thing you'd have seen with a really crap lens on a really crap camera, but for some reason game designers think its artistic.

I just checked, turning off vignetting is in the vanilla game, no mods required. Go to main menu, settings. It's in the VIDEO menu option, to turn off vignetting and scanlines.

this is the setting i spoke of way back up top... the question is if these ""features"" are also off in picture mode after turning them off in the video menu...

Turning off normal display vignetting does not turn off photo mode vignetting.
