they drop some cosmetic parts (bug like helmets) sometimes...

Idk why fights are so damn bad designed in this game
Replayability is a pretty important thing to consider in sandbox games. Makes no sense not having a reason to farm them
Is lucky they take about 30 seconds to kill... They really should spawn a lot more bugs, and dangerous ones, the Vile Spawn things can actually give you more problems as they can overwhelm you if you aren't careful, but then just stand on your ship and then they are just blaster fodder...
This is an easy question to answer! This was never meant to be a combat game! It is a casual sandbox game with several attempts to 'bolt on' different things, this is why flying the ships isn't realistic, why combat is disappointing and why the multiplayer has lots of quirks and issues.
This is the story of NMS.
If it was never meant to be a combat game then why do they market it as having great combat?
And why are there tons and tons of weapons and upgrade customization if there's nothing challenging to fight in the universe?
If a game has a system or a mechanic it must be well developed, implemented and integrated.
Nms has a lot of mechanics and all of them are mediocre, why bothering adding combat or survival if they wont matter at all?
And the rest is pretty bad, like how worthless, bad implemented and similar are animals and plants. Why bothering making an algorithm to create animals and plants if the player wont interact with them. And the sodim, oxygen or the dangerous plants are exactly the same on every planet
I can keep going but i think i dont need to waste more time to make mu point clear. They should improve what they implemented. Right now is a time sink with many boring or frustrating moments
